DEADKAT is Thailand’s first BANDOL band (a blend of Idol and band). The band is a mix between musicians and idol-style singers, consisting of Six members: Yoko, Kew-wan, Saori, Rika, Mion and Kuroki.
DEADKAT was formed in 2022 and has released 5 songs to date: “It’s Never Too Late,” “Fleeting Lights,” “VIOLENCE feat. BON ANNALYNN,” “Polaroid,” and their latest work, “Cat Worship,” All songs were produced by S, lead singer from Kluaythai, Each song was created under the label BLACKAT RECORDS.

“CAT WORSHIP” เปิดตัว EP. Album ลำดับที่สองของวง DEADKAT มาพร้อมคอนเส็ปต์อัลบั้ม ที่ได้แรงบันดาลใจมาจากความเชื่อต่างๆ ใน 4 ภาคของประเทศไทย เปรียบเปรยกับการไล่ตามความฝันของแต่ละคน โดยเพลงนี้ได้หยิบเอาเอกลักษณ์ทางดนตรีของภาคอีสาน นั่นคือ พิณและแคน มาประยุกต์เข้ากับงานดนตรี Metalcore (เมทัลคอร์) สมัยใหม่ ที่อบอวนไปด้วยเสียง Synthesizer (ซินธิไซเซอร์) ไล่อารมณ์หนักและเบาสลับสับเปลี่ยนไปตลอดทั้งเพลง โดยมีท่อน Breakdown (เบรคดาวน์) ที่หนักหน่วงชวนโยก!
เนื้อหาของเพลง นำเอาเรื่องราวความเชื่อจากการขอพรในเทศกาล “แห่นางแมว” ในวันที่เราลองทำตามความฝันทุกทางแล้ว แต่เหมือนยังมีอุปสรรคขวางไว้ การบนบานต่อสิ่งต่างๆ ที่เคยเชื่อ อาจจะไม่ใช่คำตอบ ครั้งนี้เลยต้องฝากความหวังทั้งหมดไว้ที่เธอ ซึ่งใช้ “แมว” เป็นสัญลักษณ์ของสิ่งที่จะขอบูชาในครั้งนี้ ในอีกมุม “เธอ” เหล่านั้นก็หมายถึงแฟนเพลงของวงนั่นเอง

“โพลารอยด์ใบเก่า”
เพราะทุกความทรงจำ มีจุดเริ่มต้นที่งดงามเสมอ ซิงเกิลที่ 4 ของวง DEADKAT ได้ปล่อย Music Video ออกมาให้ชมกันเมื่อ 9 โมงเช้าของวันที่ 9 ก.ย. ที่ผ่านมา
ในวงการไอดอล “เชกิ” คือกิจกรรมถ่ายรูปกับสมาชิกของวง ซึ่งวัฒนธรรมจากประเทศต้นแบบอย่างญี่ปุ่นนั้นจะถ่ายด้วยกล้องโพลารอยด์ แล้วปริ๊นท์รูปออกมาให้โอตะ (แฟนเพลง) ได้เก็บรูปประทับใจใบนั้นเอาไว้แทนความทรงจำ และรูปโพลารอยด์ของโอตะคนนั้น กับเมมเบอร์นั้นๆ ต่างก็จะมีรูปแรกเก็บสะสมไว้เสมอ
ซึ่งนานวันไป สีอาจจะซีด และจืดจางลงไปตามกาลเวลา แต่สิ่งที่จะคงอยู่ใน “โพลารอยด์ใบเก่า” ใบนั้นก็คือ
ทุกครั้งที่หยิบขึ้นมาดู ความทรงจำเก่าๆ เหล่านั้น ยังคงสวยงามเสมอ

ความพิเศษอีกอย่างของ 2 เพลงนี้ก็คือ นอกจากจะได้ Koji Hirachi (โคจิ ฮิราชิ) โปรดิวเซอร์ฝีมือดี ที่ทำเพลงให้กับวง PASSCODE (พาสโค้ด) ไอดอลชื่อดังของญี่ปุ่น มาดูแลในการทำดนตรีและเนื้อเพลงที่เป็นภาษาญี่ปุ่นและอังกฤษ ยังได้ วสกร เดชสุธรรม หรือ เอส นักร้องนำวง “กล้วยไทย” (เจ้าของ 3 รางวัลสีสันอะวอร์ดส์ครั้งล่าสุด) มาเขียนเนื้อเพลงภาษาไทย และเป็นโปรดิวเซอร์ให้กับวง DEADKAT อีกด้วย
ชื่อ DEADKAT มาจากเมมเบอร์ทั้งหมดเคยผ่านการเป็นไอดอลจากวงเก่าก่อนหน้ามาทุกคน แม้ต้องแยกย้ายหรือยุบวงไปเสียก่อน แต่ความฝันของพวกเธอก็ไม่เคยจบไปในวันนั้น และวันนี้พวกเธอได้รวมตัวกันเกิดใหม่อีกครั้ง เพื่อสานต่อความฝันในการเป็นไอดอล ที่มอบความสุขและสร้างแรงบันดาลใจให้กับแฟนเพลง และด้วยความที่ไอดอลปกติจะมีความน่ารัก สดใส ไม่ต่างจากเจ้าแมวเหมียว แต่นี่อาจจะเป็นแมวเก้าชีวิต ที่ไม่ว่าจะตายแล้วเกิดใหม่สักกี่ครั้ง ก็ยังวิ่งไล่คว้าความฝันเดิมของตัวเองต่อไป เลยเป็นที่มาของชื่อ DEADKAT ชื่อที่ดุดันทางดนตรี (ร็อก/เมทัล) และความสดใสน่ารักแบบไอดอล (แมว)

DEADKAT, the first “IDOL” artists from Blackat Records, was born from the IDOLCORE audition program directed by BananaMaxTV. The line-up consisting of five members was completed in 2021.
All members consist of KEW-WAN (Nattanich Viroonwachira), YOKO (Bussakorn Amponpelapan) and MAEMI (Phichaya Kinggate) After having trained in singing and dancing, all members are now ready to have their own recordings, from which two singles were at once! — 12.00 p.m. of February 14, 2022.
DEADKAT (Fleeting Lights) — the song which shares its name with the band’s title — and It’s Never Too Late, are the band’s debut singles, being presented in an intense metalcore style while bringing up addictive melodies, modern sounds and various singing styles. The lyrics are also being passed on in three languages! The songs convey the stories of lives in the “IDOL” industry all five members have been through and will be facing in the future. .
Another exclusiveness of these two songs is that both Japanese and English lyrics were composed by Koji Hirachi, a masterful sound producer who composed and arranged songs for famous Japanese idol band PASSCODE. Wassakorn “S” Dechsutham, the lead singer of “KLUAYTHAI,” and the winner of three awards from the latest Season Award stage, composed Thai lyrics and plays the role as the producer for DEADKAT.
The name “DEADKAT” came from the three members having experiences of being an idol from each of their former bands. Although they were meant to be parted or their respective bands were disbanded, the dream of each member did not just end once and for all. They are now grouped together and reborn in order to carry on their dreams of becoming an idol, who passes on happiness and inspiration to their fans and audience. Although idols basically are lovely and lively just like cats, these members are the cats with nine lives. It does not matter how many times they have to be reborn; they will still move forward and carry one, making their dream come true. This is the origin of the name “DEADKAT,” the band that features aggressive, heavy musical components (rock/metal) and idol-like cuteness and liveliness (cats).
